Day Pet Program

Want a buddy for your next hike? Do you want a pup to join you on the patio of the local brewery or coffee house? Then Day Pet is for you!

Day Pet gives volunteers the opportunity to take one of our lovely shelter pets on a field trip. You get to take one of our grand companions into town for the day and enrich the pet with human interaction and adventures. This can be a whole day, or just a few hours - it is up to the volunteer.
 
This essential program gives our pets a break from the shelter life, and lets them socialize and meet new people. Getting into the community creates a well-rounded pet, giving them a higher chance of being adopted. This is a great option for volunteers that want to help Grand Companions, but are not able to foster or adopt.
